Thanks for stopping by! I’m Hope, a word nerd, tea lover, and romantic soul who makes her home in upstate New York.

Oh, and at age 32, I’m living a life I definitely didn’t expect!

But through the ups and downs of this journey following Jesus in the unexpected, I always come back to the conviction that whatever my circumstances, there is hope.

Hope is the conclusion, but this doesn’t always comfort in the sharpness of the pain I experience. But knowing that hope is the conclusion, I feel the freedom to wrestle through the difficulties and doubts that I face as I walk with Jesus.

    I believe that God has placed me with DJ and his family for a purpose. I know that I am to love my grandsons and to help my daughter-in-law. What I am really struggling with lately is discerning God’s voice in stewardship. There are soooo many needs. I get pulled emotionally in so many directions instead of being led with purpose. I ask myself if buying my grandsons some toys is stealing from kids that have nothing. I support 3 overseas kids but is that enough? If God has given you any insight I’d love to hear what He has shown you. If not, pray that I would hear His voice clearly!

    1. Hi Brenda, it’s so nice to hear from you! That’s wonderful to hear that you are with DJ and his family; I didn’t realize you were there. I will definitely pray that you would hear God’s voice clearly concerning stewardship. I don’t feel that I have any particular insight, but from what you’re describing, your heart is in the right place, and I know He loves to see that your heart is set on hearing His voice and honoring Him with your resources and time!
